The manager of the legal affairs department in the labour ministry Marina Alhinty has said that employers who employee Jordanian nationals under fixed terms contracts should renew these contracts automatically and for a similar term until the implementation of the defence law has ended. The relevant contracts are the ones which ended on 30 April 2020 or which will end after this date provided that the contract has been renewed before 30 April 2020 three times. Alhinty has said any employer who ends the services of a Jordanian national as per these conditions will be violating the law and the employer should reinstate the employee and renew their contract.
