Jordan’s Prime Minister has announced additional Coronavirus support is going to be provided. They said $451.3 million will be allocated to expand social protections for families and individuals. In addition, an interest-free loan of $28.2 million will be used to rebuild Jordan’s tourism industry. Other sectors will also receive financial support. The aim is to safeguard 180,000 jobs. The beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund will also be expanded under the new measures to cover 400,000 more people. It will have a $141 million budget. Full story
