Those violating coronavirus precautionary measures in the UAE will face a fine of up to 50,000 AED

The Cabinet issues Cabinet Decision No. 7/2020 that approves a list of sanctions for the precautionary measures which have been taken to contain COVID-19.

Violators of these precautions will face fines of between 500 to 50,000 AED which will be doubled for those found to be repeating the violation. Offenders will be referred to the Emergency and Crisis Prosecution Department at the Federal Public Prosecution if the violation is committed for the third time.

It will also be possible to refer the violator to the prosecution or shut down any violating establishment for a period not exceeding six months.
