Anti-Coronavirus Measures for Friday Prayers at Mosques Must be Complied With

The UAE’s General Authority of Islamic Affairs & Endowments has reiterated anti-Coronavirus measures for Friday prayers at mosques must be complied with. Among other things, worshippers should avoid overcrowding, particularly at entrances and exits to mosques. Worshippers should also wear face masks and observe social distancing when performing Friday prayers at mosques. They should also bring their own prayer mats. Mosques will open 30 minutes before the sermon starts and close 30 minutes after the prayers. They will also not be able to be more than 30% full.
