Bahrain’s Crown Prince has referred an Unemployment Fund Withdrawal Law to the National Assembly to consider. If approved, it will allow money to be withdrawn from the Fund to pay private sector wages for the next three months. It is aimed at supporting 100,000 Bahrainis. It will cost approximately 215 million Dinars. The National Assembly and Shoura Council have two weeks each to review and vote on. If this timeframe passes it will be considered approved.
