Oman’s Health Minister has announced the start of the academic year has been postponed to November. They added the Health Ministry and Education Ministry are in contact with the Supreme Committee. They went on to say a Decision on the reopening of mosques is yet to be made and a joint committee is considering the right time together with the Waqf and Religious Affairs Ministry. They concluded by saying the departments and institutions which went back to using fingerprinting should stop doing so and these systems shouldn’t be used until further notice in line with directives of the Supreme Anti-Coronavirus Committee.
