Oman’s Public Authority for Consumer Protection has issued a warning about price mask increases. The Authority has said it is verifying import prices and custom clearance certificates issued by the Directorate-General of Customs at the Royal Oman Police in line with the rules. Under the Health Ministry’s rules, importers can add up to 15% on import prices. Distributors can also add 15%. Any other additions are illegal. The prices of face masks have increased since the wearing of them became mandatory in the country. Any illegal price increases should be reported to the authorities. Full story
