Abu Dhabi: Coronavirus Vaccine Triallists Will be Exempt From PCR Test Requirement

Abu Dhabi’s Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee for Coronavirus has announced it has approved special measures for participants in Phase 3 clinical trials of the Coronavirus vaccine or the National Vaccination Programme for emergency use. It will apply immediately after the first dose has been given. They will have a gold star status in the Alhosn application and will not have to take a PCR or DPI test to enter Abu Dhabi from in the UAE. After travelling abroad, they are exempt from isolation but must undergo a PCR test before travelling and on returning to the Emirate. They are exempt from PCR tests on the fourth and eighth days after entry into the Emirate. Those taking part in the National Vaccination Programme will be able to benefit for 28 days after they have been given the second dose. They will be identified by the letter E in the Alhosn application and will not have to take a PCR or DPI test to enter Abu Dhabi from in the UAE. After travelling abroad, they are exempt from the isolation requirement but must take a PCR test before travelling and after re-entering the Emirate, as well as on the fourth and eighth days after entering. These measures will only apply if the participant’s Alhosn application continues to show their special status, which is linked to taking a PCR test every fortnight in line with the conditions of the trial and vaccination programme. Histoire complète
