Anti-Coronavirus Guidance for Gyms Updated

Qatar’s Commerce and Industry Ministry has announced it has updated the anti-Coronavirus guidance for gyms. Under the updated guidance, changing rooms and toilets will be allowed to reopen. The updated rules came into effect on 11 November 2020. However, they will continue to have to comply with the relevant anti-Coronavirus measures. They will have to continue to limit the occupancy in gyms by ensuring employees and customers comply with the social distancing rules and take the temperatures of gym employees and customers when they arrive. They should deny entry to anyone who has a temperature of 38 degrees or above or anyone who does not have a Green status on the Ehteraz application. In addition, employees and customers should wear faced masks in gyms. Indoor group exercising is banned and trainers can only train one person at a time. They have to ensure social distancing rules are complied with. Outdoor group exercise is allowed providing social distancing rules are complied with. Hand sanitisers and soap should be provided in all of the gym’s facilities and customers should be encouraged to to bring and use their own towels, personal hygiene kits and water bottles. Finally, gyms and equipment should be cleaned at least every two hours. Histoire complète
