Isolation Requirements Extended Until 31 December

Discover Qatar have announced the isolation requirements will continue to be in force until 31 December. It will continue to be in force for all arrivals to the country. This includes nationals, residents and visa holders. Isolation packages for domestic workers, company-sponsored and other workers have also been extended until 31 December. These packages should only be booked for groups of employees, or by individuals if their Exceptional Entry Permit shows Type of Quarantine: Mukaynis or Mekaines. QID holders will need to apply for an Exceptional Entry Permit to enter the country through the Qatar Portal. Once they are approved, applicants will receive a permit and will then be able to book a self-funded hotel isolation package if they are travelling from a country not on the low-risk list or if they aren’t eligible for home isolation. QID holders returning to Qatar from one of the countries on the low-risk list will have to self-isolate at home for seven days. Those travelling from a low risk country will have to have been there for at least a week. If they haven’t been they will be considered to be travelling from a higher risk country and will have to isolate in hotels for seven days and then at home for another seven days. They should not book an isolation package, until their return has been returned. Isolation packages have also been extended from 31 October until the end of the year for those who need to isolate in hotels. If an individual cannot self-isolate at home, they can book a 14-night Welcome Home isolation package instead. However, they should read all of the relevant information on the Discover Qatar website, be approved to travel to Qatar and know what type of isolation they will have to complete. Once a booking is made it cannot be amended. It can only be refunded if an airline cancels their flight. In this situation, they will be able to amend their booking once. Any new isolation package booked will be subject to availability and the daily arrival limit. Any package price differences will have to be paid. Discover Qatar have also listed the exceptions to the self-funded seven-day isolation rule and these individuals have to self-isolate at home for seven days. They have added Qatari nationals who are unable to find availability for isolation packages online can email DQWelcomeHomeQatari@qatarairways.com.qa. Emails to this account are monitored 24/7 and people should receive replies within 12 hours of receipt. Histoire complète
