Employers Can Terminate Employees for Refusing to Wear Face Masks

According to local journalists, employers can terminate an employee’s employment if they fail to wear a face mask in the office. They can do so without paying compensation to them. It would constitute termination with a valid reason. There is a 2011 Supreme Court Decision to support this. The justification is that it would constitute a direct violation of an employment policy enshrined in Turkey’s Labour laws.
