Oman’s airports have announced travel conditions for passengers to the Sultanate. Citizens coming to the country will have to isolate for 14 days while residents coming to the country will have to isolate for 14 days and will have to provide accommodation booking confirmation.. They will have to pay the costs of the accommodation. Airline crew will be exempt from the isolation requirement but will have to comply with the anti-Coronavirus measures applicable to them as issued by the Health Ministry. All those coming to the Sultanate will have to download and complete the registration procedures in the Tarassud Plus application on their mobile phones before they arrive. They will also have to buy and wear a wrist band on arrival at the airport and pay five Omani Rials for it. All incoming visitors will have to have valid health insurance for the duration of their stay in the Sultanate. Non-Omanis cannot enter the Sultanate except with permission from the Foreign Affairs Ministry first based on an application submitted through the embassy in the visitor’s home country, their sponsoring body or the national carriers, Oman Air and Salam Air. Oman Air and Salam Air will be able to carry transfer passengers. Foreign diplomats returning to the Sultanate will be exempt from all the anti-Coronavirus measures, except for the requirement to isolate at home. Histoire complète
