Queen Alia International Airport to Reopen Next Week

Jordan’s Minister of State for Media Affairs has announced Queen Alia International Airport will reopen next week. It will reopen on 8 September. However, anti-Coronavirus measures will have to be complied with. Travellers from Green countries will have to spend 14 days in the country where they are coming from. They will also need to take a PCR test 72 hours before their flights to the country. They will have to take out a second test at their own expense on arrival to the airport and wait until it returns negative. Where the test is negative, they will not have to isolate in an institution. However, they will have to self-isolate for a week. Travellers from Yellow countries will have to prove they have taken a PCR test which was negative for COVID-19 72 hours before their flight to Jordan. Once they have done this, they will have to isolate in an institution for a week. They will then have to take a third test on the fifth or sixth day. If the test result is negative, they will have to self-isolate for a week. Travellers from Red countries will be subject to the same procedures as travellers from Yellow countries but will also have to wear a wristband during their self-isolation. Those who don’t provide a PCR test 72 hours before their flight arrives in the Kingdom will have to isolate in an institution for two weeks. These measures will be imposed on non-Jordanians who want to come into the country and will be applied at all border crossings. Those wanting to leave the country, will be able to leave whenever they want provided there are available flights and their destination country has said they can travel there. Histoire complète
