Rules on Dining

The Health Ministry has issued a series of guidelines which will need to be followed by restaurants and coffee shops for their phased reopening which is planned for September. The Health Ministry has stressed that establishments which fail to follow these will be closed. Tables must be positioned two metres apart in four directions. Only 50% of the table capacity can be occupied and there will be a limit of five dinners per table. No more than 20 people will be accepted for group reservations. Customers will be encouraged to pay electronically. Staff will be expected to maintain a one metre distance with others. They will also need to wear gloves when handling ready to eat food. Disposable menus should be used or regular menus which can be sterilised after use. Cleaning and sterilisation must be done regularly including in toilets. Restaurants and coffee shops will be allowed to offer outside dining from 3 September and inside dining from 24 September depending on other indicators.Histoire complète
