New Travel Rules Announced

Iraq’s Higher Committee for Health and National Safety has announced it has issued new travel rules for those travelling to and from the country. The new rules were approved on 6 July and revoke Iraq Higher Committee for Health and National Decision No. 38/2020, Iraq Higher Committee for Health and National Decision No. 41/2020 and Iraq Higher Committee for Health and National Decision No. 59/2020. Under the new rules, all Iraqis will be able to travel abroad provided they commit to isolate for 14 days when they return. They will also be subject to clinical and laboratory tests at border crossings and will have to comply with the relevant anti-Coronavirus measures. The committee also decided to carry out clinical tests on Iraqi expatriates quickly and if they don’t display any symptoms or have a negative result, will be instructed to isolate at home for 14 days. Histoire complète
