Recreation Centres Allowed to Reopen in Dubai

Dubai Economy has announced recreation centres, summer camps, spa and massage centres and indoor theme parks will be allowed to reopen. They will be allowed to reopen from today but will have to comply with strict anti-Coronavirus measures. This includes a requirement for face masks to be worn and social distancing to be complied with. It is part of the Emirate’s wider reopening. Fun fairs, facilities offering rides, soft play facilities, in playground and adventure centres, inflatable playgrounds, virtual reality facilities, edutainment facilities, facilities offering interactive entertainment activities, arcades and escape rooms will be allowed to reopen. However, parties and gatherings will not be allowed and baby and toddler soft play areas will not be allowed to reopen. All summer camps in all types of facilities including child centres, schools, hotels, sports clubs and gyms, libraries and art centres will also be able to reopen. Under the guidelines, nurseries cannot carry out summer camps yet. In addition, massage and spa services will resume, including in facilities in hotels and malls, A&B list spas and salons and barbershops outside malls. However, steam rooms, saunas, inhalation rooms, ice rooms, jacuzzis, hot baths, Moroccan baths and Turkish hammam facilities are not allowed to resume.
