International Flights Resume

The Turkish authorities have announced international flights to and from the country have resumed. They resumed today and more flights will resume in phases. Turkish Airlines are now flying to Germany, the UK and the Netherlands from Istanbul Airport. Passengers had to meet the criteria set out by the relevant authorities. Only nationals of the destination countries or with residence permits were allowed to fly and their entry into terminals was strictly regulated. Airport officials checked their temperatures at entrances and only passengers with valid tickets were allowed. Passengers and airport personnel also had to comply with social distancing rules. International flights also resumed from Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport with the same procedures being followed. In addition, passengers had to wear face masks.
