Oman officials have stated they have detained an unspecified number of citizens for violating the COVID-19 rules. The Royal Oman Police reported arresting several Omanis in Al Dakhiliyah and Al Batinah North for gathering and violating decisions taken by the Supreme Committee dealing with COVID-19. Administrative fines were issued on the violators. Police in the Governorate of Al Batinah South also issued a fine against a restaurant for failing to comply with the anti-coronavirus rules.
