Total Lock Down to be Imposed

Saudi Arabia’s Interior Ministry has announced a total lock down is going to be imposed in the Kingdom. The lock down will run from 23 to 27 May and will apply during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday. The social distancing rules, including gatherings of more than five people will continue to be banned. Economic and commercial activities which have been exempt from previous decisions and those itemised in the Royal Order issued on 25 April will continue to be able to operate. Lock down restrictions which have been relaxed will not be affected. This includes individuals being able to leave their homes between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Restrictions in Mecca will continue to apply. People will not be able to enter or leave Mecca.
