Four Day Lock Down to be Imposed

Turkey’s President has announced a four day lock down is going to be imposed from 16 May until 20 May. 19 May is a national holiday in the country. The lock down has been imposed in 31 areas including Ankara and Istanbul. Those over 65 will be allowed to leave their houses providing they stay within walking distance and wear face masks on17 May between 11:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Under-14s will be allowed to leave their homes on 20 and 22 May between 11qam and 5pm providing they stay within walking distance and wear face masks. Travel restrictions which were imposed because of Coronavirus have been lifted in Adana, Diyarbakır, Mardin, Trabzon, Ordu, Denizli, Kahramanmaraş, Şanlıurfa and Tekirdağ.
