Oman’s Commerce and Industry Ministry has announced commercial registry ownership transfer can be completed online. This service will be able to be used by investors who had already visited Sanad advocate offices or auditing offices to do this. Investors will be able to transfer ownership, amend a company’s legal form and amend the capital and tax data. Service delivery offices will receive the commercial registry ownership through the InvestEasy Portal. The relevant documentation will need to be attached along with administrative charge payments. The application will then be transferred electronically to a Ministry employee to review. Once the application is completed, the seller and buyer will have to visit the Ministry’s offices in the Knowledge Oasis or the directorates and departments affiliated to the Ministry in the governorates to document the contract.
