Coronavirus Violators Closed Down

The Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection Department of Dubai Economy has announced it has shut down 26 entities who violated the anti-Coronavirus measures. The Department shut down 26 shops in Al Quoz, Al Nakheel, International City, Hor Al Anz, Satwa, Al Rafaa, Souq Al Kabeer, Karama, Al Qusais, Al Nahda, Frij Al Murar, Al Warqa, Rashidiya, Muteena, Abu Hail, Jumeirah, Al Wasl and Ras Al Khor. They issued warnings to 234 and imposed penalties on 14 others. The violations were discovered after the high street markets and malls were inspected and come as Dubai allows entities to reopen providing they comply with new anti-Coronavirus guidelines. The violations related mainly to the non-wearing of face masks and gloves and complying with social distancing rules. They also related to the opening of trial rooms and promotions which are prohibited. The inspections started when the markets opened time and finished when they closed. The Department reiterated commercial activities should not be carried out between 10pm and 6am unless the entity has been exempted from the appropriate circulars.
