Three-day Lock Down to be Introduced

Turkey’s President has announced a three-day lock down is going to be introduced. It will last from 1 to 3 May in 31 provinces. During the lock down, people will only be allowed to leave their homes to go and buy groceries from their nearest market or grocery store between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. The President added these rolling lock downs are likely to continues until the Eid Al-Fitr holiday towards the end of May. In addition, a schedule for returning to normal will be announced soon. It comes as the country continues to tackle Coronavirus.
