Lock Down Restrictions Could be Relaxed

The Turkish authorities have announced lock down restrictions in the country could be relaxed after Ramadan. However, the comprehensive restrictions will be maintained during Ramadan and a full lock down will be imposed from 1 May to 3 May. If the restrictions are relaxed, they will be relaxed in a phased way. The restrictions in agriculture, textile and industry will be relaxed first. The restrictions in tourism will then be relaxed. The first phase from 4 to 20 May will be the preparatory phase. During this phase, restaurants and cafes could be allowed to reopen. However, they will have to enforce strict social distancing and their business hours may be reduced. providing there are no reported Coronavirus cases for 14 days. The first phase will run from 27 May to 31 August. In this phase, business hour restrictions will be lifted providing social distancing rules are adhered to if there are no reported Coronavirus cases for 30 days. The third phase will run from 1 September to 31 December and the final phase will start on 1 January 2021.
