Expatriates to be Allowed to Return on Reentry Visas

Saudi Arabia’s Interior Ministry has announced expatriates will be able to return to their home countries on their exit, reentry or final exit visa. It follows directives from the King. The Auda initiative will enable expatriates to apply for permission for travel to their home countries through the Ministry’s Absher portal. It will be implemented together with various Government agencies. Requests will be received and approved by the relevant authorities to complete travel procedures on international flights. A text message will be sent to the applicant stating the travel date, ticket number and reservation details and how the applicant can get their travel ticket and complete the travel procedures. An applicant will select the Auda icon on the Absher portal and provide their residency permit number, date of birth, mobile number, departure city and arrival airport. They will not have to have their own Absher account for using the service. Expatriates will be able to leave from Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport, Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport, Medina’s Prince Muhammad International Airport and Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport. Expatriates in other cities will be able to use the service by entering their departure airport information after completing their travel procedures within the time they have to. Histoire complète
