The UAE’s Higher Education Ministry has announced university students will not be issued with academic warnings. They will also not be subject to monitoring or be dismissed during distance-learning. The Ministry added all institutions should have practical remote education solutions, including virtual internship systems in place. The Ministry added all higher education institutions will continue to evaluate students on the traditional grading system. However, students will be able to accept or reject the grade. They will be able to reject the grade if they feel have been unable to adapt to the distance learning system, or if they believe their evaluation does not represent their true academic potential.
