Lock Down Restriction Relaxation Announced

Oman’s Supreme Anti-Coronavirus Committee has announced lock down restriction relaxations. Following a review of the epidemiological situation in Dhofar, the Committee has decided the lock down there will be lifted on 1 October 2020. However, the appropriate anti-Coronavirus measures will have to be complied with. They have also announced those holding valid residencies from 1 October will be able to enter the Sultanate provided they take a laboratory examination when they arrive and commit to isolating for 14 days. Special Government facilities provided to the private sector and its employees will continue until the end of the year. Elsewhere the Transport, Communications, and Information and Technology Ministry has announced public transport services will be allowed to gradually resume from 27 September.
