A spokesman for Saudi Arabia’s Commerce Ministry has confirmed that from 25 August 2020 all retail activities will have to provide electronic payment facilities. The spokesman explained any consumers can contact the Ministry via the Consumer Protection Centre if they do not find electronic payment methods. This includes paying for plumbing and electricity activities, building materials stores, furnishings, bakeries and sewing. Full story
