Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation has announced it has issued new travel guidelines. Under the guidelines, Omani citizens will have to have a valid health insurance policy for the country they are travelling to and comply with the anti-Coronavirus measures in that country. Citizens and foreigners can travel from Oman without a permit while citizens travelling back to Oman will have to isolate for 14 days. When foreigners arrive they will have to present confirmation of accommodation and evidence they can cover isolation costs. They will also have to isolate for 14 days. Cabin crew are exempt from the isolation requirement but have to comply with the anti-Coronavirus measures. Those looking to travel to the Sultanate will have to download and register on the Tarassud+ application before they arrive and pay five Rials to get a tracking bracelet to wear while they isolate. All visitors will have to have valid health insurance for the full duration of their stay in the country. Non-Omanis can only enter the country if they have a permit issued by the Foreign Affairs Ministry through their embassy or sponsor or Oman Air and Salam Air.
