The UAE authorities have announced the national lock down has been lifted. At the same time the authorities have announced the completion of the National Disinfection Programme. It means all movement restrictions have been lifted from today and residents can now move freely across the country except to Abu Dhabi at any time of day. As part of the National Disinfection Programme, residents had to stay at home between 11pm and 6am in Dubai and 10pm and 6am in other Emirates. However, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority has called for anti-Coronavirus measures to be complied with. Public gatherings should be avoided and residents should comply with social distancing rules and wear face masks and gloves. Under-12s will be allowed into malls and restaurants in all Emirates. The three person limit in cars is still in force but it doesn’t apply if the people are part of the same family. Face masks have to be worn when there is more than one person in a vehicle.
