Fines Will be Imposed on Those Not Wearing Face Masks

Turkey’s Interior Ministry has issued a Directive requiring face masks to be worn across the country. The Directives have been issued to the governor offices in all of the provinces. Those who don’t wear face masks when they are out in public will be warned until 22 June and then from 22 June they will be fined 900 Turkish Lira. 48 of Turkey’s 81 provinces had already made it compulsory for residents to wear face masks when they are not at home and in 33 provinces people have to wear face masks in public places like shopping centres, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, barbershops and hair salons. Full story
