Turkey’s Health Minister has announced face masks will have to be worn in five more of the country’s 81 provinces. It comes as the number of cases in the country have increased from 800 to 900 cases to 1,500 a day. It means masks will have to be worn in 42 provinces. In the remaining 39 provinces, residents have to wear face masks on public transport and in shops and malls. They are also being advised to wear face masks and observe social distancing rules elsewhere. It follows the reopening of cafes, restaurants, gyms, parks, beaches and museums. Inter city travel restrictions have also been lifted and stay-at-home orders for the elderly and young have been relaxed. Some experts have said certain lock down restrictions could have to be reintroduced. Full story
