Midday Work Ban Now in Force

Qatar’s Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs Ministry has announced the midday work ban came into force today and will end on 31 August. It prohibits outdoor work between 11:30 am and 3:00 pm. In addition, no more than five hours should be worked in the morning. Company owners and companies must comply. The Ministry will carry out inspections to ensure compliance and have launched an awareness campaign regarding the ban. It has come into force in line with Qatar Ministerial Decision No. 16/2007.
