Ajman: Latest Financial Support Package Announced

Ajman’s Ruler has announced the latest financial support package. They have issued Ajman Emiri Decree No. 10/2020 to this effect.

It contains various economic incentives and Government initiatives to support local economic activities and alleviate the economic effects of Coronavirus. Several incentives and facilities related to economic activities and sectors in the Emirate will be introduced. Ajman’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry will exempt all economic establishments in the Emirate from the membership renewal delay fines and exempt hotels and tourism establishments from membership renewal fees. Fee for issuing certificates of origin for industrial plants have been reduced by 25%.

Business entities, whose activities have been suspended by Coronavirus will be exempt from paying fees for 16 government services. Economic activities specified by the Decree will be exempt from paying Economic Development Department fees for a year. Their registration and authentication fees for their lease contracts and public cleaning services fees collected by the Municipality and Planning Department will also be exempt for a year. In addition, they will be exempt from membership renewal fees and membership renewal delay fines collected by the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Chairman of the Emirate’s Executive Council may issue a Decision extending the period mentioned in the Decrees at their sole discretion. Anything which contradicts the Decree will be annulled.
