Tourism Facilities to Reopen Next Month

Turkey’s Culture and Tourism Minister has announced tourism facilities in the country will reopen next month. The Minister added tourists from Germany are now allowed to visit the country. When they arrive, they will be health-checked and have their body temperatures measured. If they are suspected of having Coronavirus, they will have to take a PCR test at specific facilities. The measures will be trialled in Antalya, Bodrum, Dalaman, Izmir and Istanbul airports. The country is working to reopen to foreigners from across the whole world by August. Letters have been sent to the 60 countries where the most tourists to Turkey come from. It advises them of the country’s tourism certification programme and the country’s enhanced hospital infrastructure. Full story
