Saudi Arabia’s Health Council has announced a new emergency medical permit service is now available. It is available via the Tawakkalna application and has been launched together with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. It will allow permits for medical emergencies to be issued. It will be valid for an hour and will enable applicants to request an exit permit for an emergency health condition which needs to be transferred to a medical facility urgently. A patient and one other person who is accompanying them will be able to leave their house to go to a medical facility as well in an emergency.
