Another Curfew Imposed

15 provinces in Turkey will begin a two day curfew to combat COVID-19 on 5 June 2020. The curfew will operate in Ankara, Istanbul, İzmir, Balıkesir, Bursa, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya, Manisa, Sakarya, Samsun, Van and Zonguldak. Ahead of the curfew, markets, grocery stores, greengrocers and butchers will continue to operate until 23.00 local time on 5 June 2020. These businesses will continue to operate from 10 a.m. to 5:00 pm local time on 6 June 2020 but will close on 7 June 2020. Bakeries will remain open during the curfew and restaurants will only offer takeaway services.
