Charter on Gatherings Amended

Sources from the interior ministry have revealed that the charter aimed at limiting gatherings that may lead to the spread of the virus and its table of fine categories has been amended to include more fines for violating the COVID-19 precautions. Under the amendment the maximum number of family and non-family gatherings inside houses, farms and at funerals and parties are limited to 50 people. The punishment for the private sector enterprises that do adhere to the precautionary measures and preventative protocol announced recently is a fine of 10,000 Riyals. Offences with fines include among other things allowing persons who are not wearing masks into their premises and not providing had sanitizers. Full story
