Night Lock Down Extended

A spokesperson for the UAE’s National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority has announced the night lock down in the country is going to be extended. The extended lock down will start on Wednesday and will run from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am until further notice. It will cover the Eid Al-Fitr holiday which is due to start on 22 or 23 May. Malls and shopping centres will open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Supermarkets will continue to be able to be open for 24 hours as will restaurants who will also be able to carry on providing takeaway services. The Authority added people should avoid physically handing out Eideya money which is money given to children to celebrate Eid.
