Rapid Coronavirus Tests Banned

Dubai’s Health Authority has announced rapid Coronavirus tests have been banned because of concerns over their accuracy. According to studies, the rapid viral tests give false negative and positive results and have a 30% accuracy rate. The Authority has issued a circular to all licensed private hospitals, outpatient care facilities and pharmaceutical establishments in the Emirate. These entities should avoid using or selling rapid laboratory screening kits to detect blood antibodies for Coronavirus. Full story
