Bahrain’s King has issued Bahrain Law No. 11/2020 approving the Public Security Volunteer Law. Under the law, the Interior Ministry can accept public security volunteer applications. They will support the public security forces. Bahrainis or expatriates who are over 21 and satisfy other Interior Ministry conditions will potentially be able to volunteer. A Volunteer Affairs Committee will be established at the Interior Ministry who will be in charge of all public service volunteering procedures. The Interior Minister will issue the necessary decisions to implement the law and the Prime Minister and relevant Ministers will be responsible for implementing the law.
