New Hospital Standards Announced

Saudi Arabia’s Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions has announced new hospital standards have been introduced to help them tackle Coronavirus. It comes as the Kingdom continues to tackle Coronavirus. Compliance by hospitals with the new standards will be monitored by the Health Ministry. The standards will be introduced in two phases. The updated standards include a scoring system for patients. When a patient scores four or more points in their medical case sheet format for the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome or Coronavirus, they will be given a surgical face mask to wear and will have to sterilise their hands. They will also be sent to the waiting rooms for suspected respiratory infections and the appropriate precautions will have to be taken.
