Remote Education Not Compulsory

The undersecretary of Oman’s Education Ministry with responsibility for education and the curriculum has issued an official circular on the continuation of study by some private schools following the end of the academic year 2019-2020. The Circular says remote education is not compulsory. The request by some private schools to parents for their students to continue learning remotely is a violation of the academic year suspension announced by the Sultanate’s Supreme anti-Coronavirus Committee.
