Some Commercial Activities Should be Resumed

Oman’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced some commercial activities should be resumed. They have urged the Sultanate’s Supreme Anti-Coronavirus Committee to develop a plan to facilitate this. However, the Chairman of the Chamber said any entities which do not reopen should comply with the occupational health and safety guidelines issued by the relevant authorities. The supply chain activities in the same economic sector, especially those related to permitted activities and those affecting the everyday lives of people should be allowed. Entities which are allowed to reopen should provide customer services through online shopping and home delivery services. They added companies which have been closed should be provided with loans to meet their fixed expenses, including the pay of their employees and their rents. Full story
