Egypt’s Customs Department has issued a Circular on the guidelines for importing production materials. Under Egypt Circular No. 5/2020, importers should provide a document to confirm the activity to be issued by the body which supervises the activity. This can be the Industrial Development Authority, the General Authority for Supervising Imports and Exports, or the General Authority for Investment.
