Anti-Coronavirus recommendations for SMEs Discussed

The Committee for Small and Medium Enterprises of the Businessmen Association has held a meeting to discuss the impact of Coronavirus on these entities.

The manager of SMEs and Micro Enterprises Development Organisation announced the organisation will launch a new electronic platform which will include 91 specialist bodies in the companies, services, and the banking sector.

The platform is aimed at bringing companies and factories from different sectors together.

The attendees issued a number of recommendations to SMEs to overcome Coronavirus including dropping the interests in loans of SMEs during the current crisis. They stressed the importance of the Central Bank’s initiative to postpone loans for SMEs. They also called for the Bank to apply the same initiative for micro-enterprises for six months.

The recommendations also include tax exemptions for SMEs and micro-enterprises during the current crisis.
