Abu Dhabi’s Judicial Department has announced the Abu Dhabi Court of First Instance has extended its remote hearing services to include all civil, personal status, rent, urgent lawsuits and inheritance cases. It follows directives from the Deputy Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Judicial Department. It is being implemented in line with Article 2 of Federal Decree-Law No. 10/2017 on civil court procedures, This says the provisions for collecting fees, registrations, presenting documents, attendance, publicity, pleas, hearing witnesses, interrogations, deliberations, issuing judgments, submitting appeals and implementing all relevant procedures can be done entirely or partially through remote communication technology.
