E-payment Systems Must be Imposed in All Grocery Stores

The Saudi Arabian National Programme for Combating Commercial Cover-up has announced all grocery and supply stores must install e-payment systems. They will have to install these systems by 10 May. It is part of efforts by the authorities to reduce the amount of cash circulating in the Kingdom. The announcement was made after consultations with the Kingdom’s Monetary Agency as well as the Commerce and Municipal and Rural Affairs Ministries. Full story
