First Phase of Health Insurance Sector Data Collection Project Begins

The Secretary General of Saudi Arabia’s Council of Cooperative Health Insurance has announced the first phase of the health insurance sector data collection project has started. It is aimed at collecting complete data on the health insurance sector and collate a minimum data set based on accredited medical coding to establish a health insurance database for the sector. It is also aimed at preparing the sector for digital transformation and follow up on performance indicators. Finally, it is aimed at supporting decision-making in the sector. 26 health insurance companies, six claims management companies and 50 healthcare service providers are taking part in the first phase. Full story
