National Disinfection Programme Extended

Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management has announced the National Disinfection Programme has been extended for a week. The Programme has already been underway for two weeks. It was extended following a review showing how successful it had been in reducing the spread of Coronavirus as well as monitoring who was affected and isolate them. Intensified movement restrictions aimed at tackling the spread of Coronavirus in the country were also announced. During the Programme, people can only leave their homes for buying essentials like food from Union Cooperative stores, supermarkets and groceries but only one family member can leave the house for this purpose. Permits for this purpose will only be issued once every three days and additional requests will be rejected. Full story
